    Method

How the numbers are worked out.

    1. Real buying searchesWe chose about 30 commercial searches per industry, such as "business bank account" and "dental implants". Thailand also has about 20 Thai-language searches per industry. Brand names, job searches and "near me" searches are left out.
    2. Google's own bidsEach search was run through Google Keyword Planner for each country. Keyword Planner gives a low and high "top of page bid": what advertisers have paid to show above the organic results.
    3. Weighted by searchesBusy searches count for more than rare ones. Low and high are the volume-weighted medians of Google's low and high bids. Typical is the weighted median of the midpoint.
    4. Gaps left as gapsSearches with no bid data, often because Google restricts ads on the topic, are left out rather than guessed. Each cell uses 19 to 49 searches.

What the estimate can and can't tell you.

    Cost per lead matters most.

A cheap click that never converts costs more than a dear one that does. Compare cost per lead with what a customer is worth to you.

    Conversion rate moves everything.

Halve the conversion rate and the cost per lead doubles. Try a lower rate to see your worst case before you commit a budget.

Your own data beats any average.

Once your ads have run for a few weeks, replace the preset with your own cost per click and conversion rate from Google Ads.

    FAQs

    Google Ads cost questions.

How much does Google Ads cost in Thailand?

You choose the budget, so the total is up to you. What changes by industry is the price of each click. Google's top-of-page bid estimates for Thailand run from about ฿11 a click for e-commerce searches to about ฿52 for business software (typical values, October 2025 to September 2026). Use the calculator to turn a budget into clicks and leads.

What is a good cost per click on Google Ads?

There's no single good number. A ฿50 click is cheap if one in ten clicks becomes a customer worth ฿20,000, and expensive if almost none do. Judge cost per click by the cost per lead and cost per sale it leads to, which the calculator shows.

How much should I spend on Google Ads per month?

Work back from the number of leads you need. Switch the calculator to "I need leads", enter your target and conversion rate, and it shows the monthly budget that target needs at low, typical and high click prices.

Why might my real cost per click be lower than these figures?

These are Google's estimates of what it takes to show at the top of the page, not the average advertisers actually pay. Ads below the top spots, strong quality scores and less competitive search terms often cost less. Treat the figures as a planning range, and use your own cost per click once you have it.

What conversion rate should I use?

Use your own if you have it, from Google Ads or GA4. If not, the calculator starts at 8.18%, the cross-industry average for search ads in LocaliQ's 2026 benchmarks. That report doesn't say which countries its data covers, and new campaigns often convert at lower rates, so test a lower figure too.
